How long does a sofa take to dry after cleaning?

At a glance
Generally a few hours, depending on the material and ventilation: our tips for proper drying.
After spray extraction, the textile remains damp. We do not guarantee a drying time: it depends on several factors.
What affects drying
- Thickness and density of the padding.
- Ventilation and room temperature.
- Outdoor humidity, especially in winter.
- Type of fibres.
Our tips
- Ventilate the room or use a fan.
- Avoid sitting or sleeping on a textile that is still damp.
- Do not use a hot hairdryer at close range.
- Wait until completely dry before putting covers or sheets back on.
How to tell if it is dry
Feel deeper into the fabric, not just the surface: press your palm into the seat or mattress. A cool sensation indicates that moisture remains.
💡 In winter, heat the room moderately and leave a window slightly open: circulating air dries better than strong heat in a closed room.
Frequently asked questions
Can I sleep on my mattress that same night?
Only if it is completely dry. Plan an alternative if the cleaning takes place late in the day.
Is an odour after cleaning normal?
A slight damp smell may develop during drying and disappears once the textile is dry. If it persists, contact us.
